Nokia Holiday Purity Headset Offer
WP Central are reporting that Nokia is currently running an offer called Holliday Headset Offer, which entitles people who have purchased a new Nokia Windows Phone over the past few days, to claim a free set of Nokia Monster Purity headsets. All you have to do is head over to NokiaHolidayHeadset.com and register for the offer, print off the completed form, include a copy of the original sales receipt and UPC/barcode from your box and send it all into Nokia.
Qualifying Windows Phones include the Lumia 920 and 820 from AT&T, the Lumia 810 from T-Mobile and the Lumia 822 from Verizon. Purchases must have been made between November 20, 2012 and December 31, 2012 and at a participating retail store in the U.S. and District of Columbia. Your redemption form and proof of purchase postmarked by January 16, 2012 and received by Nokia’s Promotional Center by January 31, 2012. The $90 headset offer is limited to one per device/person/household. Headset should be shipped out within 4-6 weeks after the redemption material is received and approved.

Verizon to sell Windows Phone 8 on Thursday. Plus: a cheat sheet for U.S. shoppers
Verizon Wireless had promised its new Windows Phones would arrive before Thanksgiving. Today, the company made good on its pact, announcing the Windows Phone 8X by HTC and the Nokia Lumia 822 will hit stores tomorrow.
Pick one up online, or from one of Verizon’s retail outlets (except the grey Lumia and red HTC models, which are online-only options.) And keep in mind that for a limited time, Verizon is the only U.S. carrier offering Windows Phone 8’s cool new Data Sense feature.

Nokia Play To for Windows Phone – Nokia Beta Labs
Still in the Beta phase, Nokia Play To application is a very interesting addon to the Lumia range. Nokia Play To is still residing at Nokia Beta Labs and can be downloaded if you register as a Beta Tester. With the “Play To” application for Nokia Lumia phones you can show pictures and videos wirelessly on other DLNA capable devices (TV’s, BlueRay players, Mediaplayer in Windows 7, etc…) connected to their network. Future releases of the application are planned to also include support for music.
Known issues in this release
- There are known interoperability issues with Sony Bravia TV that prevent Video being shared correctly.
- High Resolution video may not share correctly.
- The application does not support Media Server functionality and cannot be detected by devices such as Microsoft Xbox360 and/or Sony Playstation3.
This functionality is being planned for a future release.
Lets hope this App will graduate soon and become a commercial product on the Marketplace.
Nokia partners FC Barcelona in new campaign
NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 22:
Nokia India on Monday joined hands with FC Barcelona for a campaign for its Lumia smartphone customers in which 11 winners will travel to Barcelona to meet the team and watch them play at Camp Nou.
The company also unveiled its new brand campaign for this association, ‘Tiki Taka with Nokia Lumia’, to broaden consumer engagement around club football.
“Today football is gaining significant traction and the youth is following club football with a lot of enthusiasm. We believe that this association will bring fans closer to football and FC Barcelona like never before,” D. Shivakumar, SVP, Nokia India Middle East and Africa, said.
The consumer campaign will run for six months, enabling fans to constantly engage with brands through a variety of touchpoints, including digital, television, on-ground activation and an exclusive mobile application on Nokia Lumia smartphones.
“‘Tiki Taka with Nokia Lumia’ campaign is based on FC Barcelona’s famous style of play — ‘Tiki Taka’. However, more than the style of play, the campaign embodies the philosophy of Tiki Taka — sharing, connecting people, being spontaneous and social,” Antoni Rossich, Chief Executive Officer, FC Barcelona said.
“This association with Nokia India will create an excellent platform for Indian youth to engage with us, and bring the club closer to its Indian fans,” he said, adding that football has emerged as the second most popular sport in India (after cricket).
