Get ready for what may be the best photos and videos you’ve taken with a smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 920 brings Optical Image Stabilization, 8 MP PureView technology, and incredible photo and video software—all to Windows Phone 8.
What happens when you give freerunning World Champion Ryan Doyle and traceur (that’s the official title for a male parkour practitioner) Will Sutton a couple of Nokia Lumia 920s to play with? You get a great way to put the smartphone’s video capturing capabilities through its paces.
Twelve Nokia Lumia 920s, each filming from a different perspective, were used to create the action-packed video. For the aerial shots one of the smartphones was strapped on to a radio controlled Cinestar Octocopter (keep an eye out for it in the video). The rest of the video was filmed using a combination of handheld, chest and head cam mounted phones – each shooting in 1080p HD.
The result is clear. With the best low-light performance in a smartphone to date, and the added benefit of Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), the Nokia Lumia 920 makes it easy to capture all the action – day or night. Find out more here: http://nokia.ly/10TU0Zn

App-to-app-communication support is a powerful addition to Microsoft Windows Phone 8 that enables your apps to use the functionality of other apps. It also can help you increase the discoverability of your apps in Windows Phone Store, when you register the types of files and URI resources that the apps can enhance.
In this lab, you’ll learn how to use file and URI associations in Windows Phone 8 for app-to-app communication. You can use such associations to automatically launch your app when another app launches a specific file type or URI scheme. A deep link is used to send a reference to the file or URI to your app. This webinar also introduces the association launching API to launch another app in the same way.
We suggest that you install the Microsoft Windows Phone SDK 8.0 in advance to get the most out of this training lab. While you’ll learn a lot with or without the SDK, you’ll learn more if you have the SDK installed and can begin using the API as soon as you complete the training. Also, it will be helpful to have a Nokia Lumia phone built on Windows Phone 8 available for testing.
